ROSIE DORE

Born in London, Rosie currently lives on the edge of woodland in Kent, UK, where she keeps bees and is influenced by the animals and plants in the surrounding area. She has been drawing since she was old enough to hold a pencil, which eventually lead to her to take a degree in Fine Art.

Whilst working as an administrator for an energy company, she stumbled into surface design after accidentally booking on to a short textile design course which she thought was for beginners (it was not!!). Luckily, despite being the only person there who wasn't a textile designer, it went well and was very inspiring. Creating repeating patterns is now her favorite part of her job.

Influenced by William Morris and the English countryside, she is drawn to maximalist design, and loves detailed and rich patterns with themes of nature and wildlife.
