Andrew Lee, known as The CombatQuilter, brings over 8 years of quilting experience, with a deep passion for the craft. As a three-time US Army combat veteran impacted by PTSD, he was invited to join a mens quilting group, where quilting became his therapeutic outletand he hasnt looked back since.
Currently serving in the Tennessee Army National Guard with 23 years of service, Andrew has created more than 541 quilts for veterans, long-armed over 1,900 customer quilts, and is constantly seeking new ways to give back.
As a certified Army instructor, Andrews meticulous attention to detail and eagerness to learn make him a skilled teacher, and hes regularly featured at quilting retreats across the country. His work has been showcased in magazines, quilting books, and at the prestigious International Quilt Festival in Houston, TX. He is also working on the third piece in his pixelated quilt series.
One of Andrews latest achievements includes the launch of two fabric collections with Timeless Treasures Fabrics: “Path to Freedom”, a print collection, and the “Patriots Pride” batik collection, both celebrating his pride as a veteran.
